About Us

About Us

LookUP KC started with a dedication to challenging today’s culture, defending Biblical truth and sparking spiritual revival in our city.  By connecting our community through Gospel centered events, we offer powerful experiences where people can encounter the life-changing message of the Gospel through concerts, conferences, teaching events, theatrical performances and more.

Every event is designed to be a comprehensive presentation of the Gospel including altar calls and follow-up teams dedicated to connecting attendees with local, Bible-teaching churches to help them grow in their faith.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple; to share the life-changing message of the Gospel through faith-based events and connect people to local churches, teaching and discipling believers in the Word of God to experience the true joy and peace that comes from following Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

To see spiritual revival in our city and transformed lives impacting our community with Love and Truth

Our Core Values

Biblical Worldview

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Rom 12:2

Evangelism

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matt 28:18-19

Discipleship

You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others 2 Tim 2:22

Humility

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Phil 2:3-4

Service

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27

Integrity

“For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.” 1 Cor 8:21

Our Beliefs

God is the creator of all things (Gen 1:1). God IS, ALWAYS WAS, and IS STILL TO COME — He is THE ALMIGHTY ONE. God is good, gracious and compassionate. God is Love.

We believe the Bible is the inerrant, authoritative Word of God. It reveals God’s nature and His plan for all of humanity and is the final authority in guiding us in righteousness. It gives us everything we need to serve Him.

Jesus Christ is both the eternal Son of God and virgin-born, sinless, son of man. Fully God, fully man. He willingly offered Himself on the cross as the complete and perfect sacrifice for the atonement of humanity’s sins for all time. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His physical ascension to heaven, and His return to earth to establish His earthly kingdom.

The Holy Spirit executes the will of God in this world through humanity by leading, guiding, filling, teaching, and convicting. The Holy Spirit is not merely an impersonal force, but is a person, displaying the qualities of personhood (intellect, emotions, and will). The Holy Spirit equips believers upon conversion by giving them gifts to be used for the building up of the church and by bearing fruit through their yielded lives.

We believe that every person, both men and women, are created in the image of God, sinless and equal in value, dignity and worth, to have an intimate relationship with Him.  Due to Adam and Eve’s willful disobedience in the garden of Eden, sin entered the world and has infected all of humanity, separating us from God leading to our physical death and eternal removal from God’s presence. As a result, all humanity lives in a state of spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational disconnection from God, self, and others. People, through their own effort cannot repair or restore the damage that has been done.

Jesus Christ died, was buried and was resurrected for the atonement for our sins.  Salvation is available to all, by God’s grace alone, received through faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. As a result of our new relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, we are called to a life of obedience to God with the help and leading of the Holy Spirit.

We believe the church is the body of believers who are spiritually connected worldwide. We believe the local church is an assembly God calls together to accomplish Christ’s work in this world and to equip believers, leading them to maturity and leading others to Christ.
